As an integral safety expert, you have a lot of knowledge about safety. And about how you work with others to address safety issues. You ensure that people can live and work safely and feel safe. You are the spider in the web. You look for and find appropriate solutions. For example, in a neighborhood where residents feel unsafe, during an event with many visitors or in a factory where employees do not follow the safety rules. As a safety expert you write policy, but you also go 'onto the street' or 'into the factory' as part of your job.
