Learning from industrial accidents

The RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment conducts research into the direct and underlying causes and consequences of serious accidents at work. Based on data from more than 30,000 accidents, we can perform targeted analyses, for example by sector, type of accident, specific work equipment or professional group. We also translate these analyses into infographics and animations. On this page you will find various information cards that provide insight into the work accidents of employees in certain sectors or other groups. You can also read more about the causes of various types of accidents, such as falls, collisions or accidents involving machines.
