PGS 1 - Methods for determining potential harm - to persons and property from the release of hazardous substances - Part 2A - Effects of explosion on persons

In this publication (also known as the 'green book'), damage models are presented for determining the potential damage to people and property caused by the release of hazardous substances. In general, the use of damage models will be preceded by the use of so-called effect models. With the help of damage models, the calculated effects can be converted into damage to people or goods. Together, the 'Red Book' (PGS 4: Probabilities), the 'Yellow Book' (PGS 2: Effects), the 'Purple Book' (PGS 3: Quantitative Risk Analysis) and the 'Green Book' (PGS 1: Damage) form the series of standard works for risk analyses.

De systematiek van de voorgeschreven risico analyse in Nederland is de afgelopen jaren gewijzigd. Het gebruik van het rekenpakket SAFETI-NL is nu voorgeschreven voor het berekenen van de externe veiligheidsrisico's van een inrichting met gevaarlijke stoffen. Samen met de Handleiding Risicoberekeningen Bevi vervangt dit pakket de gekleurde boeken (PGS 1 t/m 4). De gekleurde boeken worden in principe niet meer geactualiseerd, maar blijven voorlopig beschikbaar als historisch naslag werk.
