"Security is a focus of every mission".

New MOOI scheme 2022 published: €66 million available for mission-oriented innovations. Innovation projects can score higher if they actively contribute to the improvement of safety.

A new round of the Mission Driven Research, Development and Innovation (MOOI) scheme is starting!

From 1 April 2022 on wards, joint ventures can register their projects with RVO. A total of € 66.4 million in subsidies is available for electricity, the built environment and industry. The MOOI scheme stimulates innovative solutions to reduce CO2 emissions in the Netherlands.

It concerns research and development projects within 3 themes: industry, built environment and electricity sector. Applications should at least focus on sustainability, environment, affordability and safety. In addition, an innovation project can score higher on the ranking criterion 'Contribution to the objective' if it actively contributes to these topics, in particular sustainability, reduction of environmental pressure and efficient use of raw materials, affordability and safety: the use of innovations must lead to an improvement in physical, fire or cyber safety for employees and/or people living in the vicinity of the industry.
