Summary
The subject of this study is governmental supervision of internal and external safety, or Brzo supervision. We expect government supervision to contribute to the compliance behaviour of supervised parties. In the same vein, we expect that Brzo-supervision will - ultimately - contribute to improving the safety performance of Brzo companies. The present study focuses on the question as to whether current Brzo supervision can meet this expectation and what possible avenues of thought could be explored for renewing Brzo supervision.
