Best-Practices vervoer van gevaarlijke stoffen over binnenwateren (flame arrestors) De VNCI heeft in samenspraak met de Europese brancheorganisatie Cefic twee technische best-practices opgesteld voor vervoer van gevaarlijke stoffen over binnenwateren.

A practical approach to deal with remark 44 (version July 2019). Remark 44 allows to charter barges equipped with the more common IIB3 flame arresters, only if it can be proven that the product can be assigned to this subgroup. If that is not the case, barges with IIB flame arrestors must be selected. This best practice is meant to help consignors to interpret a remark 44 in column (2) in a practical way, based on the information available in the SDS of the product.
