ProcessNet (German platform) – Incident Database

Learning from non-reportable but safety-relevant incidents: The incident database provides you with practice-oriented lessons. This allows you to constantly refresh your knowledge of safe process control. Experts in the working party “Lessons from Process Safety Incidents” have been collecting incident descriptions submitted voluntarily by VCI members since 1996. They analyze the texts, which have been anonymized, and then publish them in a standardized form in the database. Access to the database and the published texts is free of charge.

The database contains (July 2021) 99 incidents for the period 2000 – 2017 that are categorised into basic operation / process, plant part affected, hazard features / substance properties, cause / effects, other. The results of the database are not suitable for a statistical evaluation.
