DV2030- Zero measurement of the state of assets within the Dutch (petro)chemical industry - Results market survey 2018

Research conducted under the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management's Sustainable Safety 2030 program. In this study, various companies from storage, chemicals and refining provided data on the 'state of their assets'. With these data, for the first time, statements can now be made about the lifespan and the relationship to maintenance within the Dutch (petro)chemical industry. The way in which maintenance is organized as a function within the (petro)chemical industry is also discussed.

What are external trends or expected mid- and long-term change? What are relevant lessons from others? On the initiative of the (petro)chemical industry, the national government and the scientific community and on commissioned by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, a baseline measurement of the state of assets in the Dutch (petro)chemical industry was conducted in 2018. Specific attention was paid to the aging or ageing of the asset base, the consequences this has for the occurrence of process safety incidents and the measures companies are taking to address the aging of their assets.
