FAQ | Wat is corrosie onder isolatie (COI)?

COI is a degradation mechanism that occurs in insulated pipelines and equipment in the temperature range of approximately 0 to 150 °C. COI occurs in the process industry, but is not limited to it. Potentially, degradation of steel piping and other equipment due to COI can affect the integrity of installations resulting in potentially major incidents.
