Purpose

Preventing accidents by sharing incidents and near misses and learning together at sector level.

Increasing mutual trust between companies for the controlled sharing and learning of information on near misses.

Improved (process) safety culture through relevant information exchange between Brzo companies and non-Brzo companies in the (petro)chemical sector, and ultimately between government and industry.

Expected result

  • A growing digital library of generic descriptions of near misses whose distribution of individual cases is determined by predefined rules. A critical success factor here is participation by as many companies as possible.

  • A digital library of lessons learned at the sectoral level, drawn from near incidents, which can only be accessed by participants in this pilot.

  • Companies learn from each other's (system) mistakes, and learn faster by participating in the joint learning sessions led by Crisislab.

  • e-Learning for learning from near misses and for conducting learning sessions effectively.
