What is the National Expertise Centre (LEC) BRZO?
The National Expertise Centre (LEC) BRZO is a network of six regional collaborations of the 25 safety regions and a staff office. The staff bureau supports the safety regions in implementing the three Brzo tasks: designating company fire brigades, supervision and enforcement (VTH) at Brzo companies. These activities take place within the national coordination structure Brzo+ and the regional Brzo implementing services (Brzo-Ruds). The implementation of the Brzo sub-programme, one of the four sub-programmes within the Environmental Safety Impulse programme, is in the hands of the BRZO LEC. The LEC BRZO is a partnership of the Institute of Physical Safety (IFV) and the Rotterdam Rijnmond Safety Region (VRR).
