Europe has large ambitions to develop both offshore wind and green hydrogen production as a part of the realization of the climate targets. In Europes North Seas region, the North Seas Energy Cooperation ((NSEC) supports and facilitates the development of the large renewable energy potential in the region. The nine NSEC countries have agreed to reach at least 76 GW of offshore wind by 2030, and 193 GW by 2040, 260 GW of offshore wind energy by 2050.
